Boondocks V60 Pour Over Brewing Guide
What you need
• Boondocks V60 Brewer or any V60 Brewers
• V60 Filter
• Coffee Grinder or
Ground Coffee
• 21 grams of coffee
• Hot water
(between 195-205°F)
• Scale
• Timer
• Mug

Directions
- Fold and rinse your filter in the Hario dripper with hot water. This serves two purposes, it preheats the brewer and gets rid of the paper flavor from the filter. Make sure to discard that water.
- Grind 20 grams or 3 Tablespoons of coffee to the consistency of kosher salt.
- Add the coffee to your brewer.
- Heat your water to around 200°F or just off the boil.
- Start by adding water to the ground coffee. You want to use just enough water to cover the top of the grounds.
- Let your coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
- After your coffee has bloomed you want to add more water. Pour the water in an even spiral slowly. Add more water every 10 – 15 seconds.
- If you're using a scale, you should aim for 300g.

Chemex Brewing Guide
What you need
• 8 cup Chemex
• Chemex Filter
• Coffee Grinder or
Ground Coffee
• 42 grams of coffee
(6 tablespoons)
• Hot water
(between 195-205°F)
• Scale
• Timer
• Stirring Utensil
• Mug

Directions
- Insert the Chemex filter into the brewer with the single fold away from the spout and the triple fold lined up along the spout. Rinse your filter with hot water completely. This serves two purposes, it preheats the brewer and gets rid of the paper flavor from the filter.
- Grind 42 grams or about 6 Tablespoons of coffee. Grind it to the consistency of Kosher salt.
- Add the coffee to your brewer.
- Heat your water to a range of 195-205°F.
- Begin by starting your timer and adding water to the ground coffee. You want to use just enough water to cover the top of the grounds. If you are using a scale you want to reach 150g. Finish by stirring with a spoon or other utensil to ensure all of the coffee is saturated.
- At the 45 second mark, start your second pour, making sure the coffee and water mix. Start with a wiggling motion followed by a spiral motion until you reach 450g of water.
- After your coffee has bloomed you want to add more water. Pour the water in an even spiral slowly. Add more water every 10 – 15 seconds.
- At 1:45, finishing filling the brewer until you reach about 700g of water. If you aren't using a scale you will want to remove the filter once the coffee has reached the bubble below the spout.

Filter Cone Brew Guide
What you need
• Standard #2 or #4 Filter Cone
• #2 or #4 Filter
• Coffee Grinder or
Ground Coffee
•21 grams of coffee
(3 tablespoons)
• Hot water
(between 195-205°F)
• Scale
• Timer
• Mug

Directions
- Measure 21g or 3 tablespoons of coffee and grind it medium fine or to the consistency of table salt.
- Fold and rinse your filter in the cone with hot water. This serves two purposes, it preheats the brewer and gets rid of the paper flavor from the filter. Discard that water.
- Add your ground coffee to the filter and zero out the scale.
- Heat your water to a range of 195-205°F.
- Start your timer once you have added the hot water. You want to use just enough water to cover the top of the grounds.
- Let your coffee bloom for 30-45 seconds.
- Pour the water in an even spiral slowly while bringing the weight up to around 380g by the 1:00 mark.
- Once you hit 2:00, your mug should be almost full (or you should have about 10 oz of brewed coffee). If there is still water in left in the brewer at this time, don’t sweat it. Remove the dripper from atop the mug and place it in the sink.
- Continue to let the coffee drain into your mug.
- Once you hit the 2:00 mark, your mug should be just about full.

French Press Brew Guide
What you need
• 8 cup French Press brewer
• Coffee Grinder or
Ground Coffee
•56 grams of coffee
(8 tablespoons)
• Hot water
(between 195-205°F)
• Scale
• Stirring Utensil
• Timer
• Mug

Directions
- Warm your French Press by rinsing it with hot water. This allows you to maintain an even temperature while brewing giving you the best extraction.
- Grind 56g or 8 tablespoons of coffee and grind it to the consistency of breadcrumbs.
- With your French Press warm you can discard the water. Proceed by adding your coffee into the press.
- Heat your water to a range of 195-205°F.
- As soon as you add the hot water begin your timer. You should fill it up halfway ensuring all the grounds are saturated.
- At the 1:00 mark, use a utensil to break the top layer and give it a good stir. (a wooden utensil is recommended as it's less likely to break the glass).
- With all the coffee saturated fill the rest of the press up and stir. Put the top on and let the coffee continue to brew without pressing it down.
- At the 4:00 mark, you are finished. Firmly push down on the the press until the filter is all the way down.
- Pour your Boondocks Coffee in a mug and enjoy
Aero Press Brewing Guide
Directions
- Grind 17g of coffee, 2 ½ tablespoons or one scoop using the included spoon. Grind your coffee to the consistency of table salt.
- Place the filter in the basket.
- Preheat and rinse both the filter and brewer with hot water. This serves two purposes, it preheats the brewer and gets rid of the paper flavor from the filter. Discard that water.
- Place the Aero Press on top of your mug and add coffee. The included funnel is helpful but not required.
- As soon as you add the hot water begin your timer. Make sure to saturate all the grounds within 10 seconds. Pour until you reach the No. 4 or 220g of water (if using a scale).
- Stir making sure all of the coffee is saturated. After stirring add the plunger to the brew chamber and slightly pull upwards to help create a pressure seal. Remember not to plunge yet!
- At the 1:15 mark, press down on the plunger gently while steadily giving pressure, making sure to stop as soon as you hear a hissing sound.

Moka Pot Brewing Guide
Directions
- Measure and grind about 20-22 grams or 3 Tablespoons of coffee, to the consistency of ground cinnamon.
- Boil some water and fill the bottom half of your Moka pot.
- Add your ground coffee to the filter basket and give it a little shake to spread the grounds evenly.
- Assemble the Moka pot by screwing on the top and bottom parts. Please be careful as the bottom chamber will be hot.
- Put your Moka pot on the stove set the heat to medium.
- As the water in the bottom begins to boil, the pressure inside will push coffee slowly up the chamber.
- You'll know it’s done when you hear a hissing, bubbling sound.

Clever Dripper Brewing Guide
Directions
- Fold and rinse your filter in the Clever dripper with hot water. This serves two purposes, it preheats the brewer and gets rid of the paper flavor from the filter. Make sure to discard that water.
- Grind 24 grams or 3 1/2 Tablespoons of coffee to the consistency of kosher salt.
- Add the coffee to your brewer.
- Heat your water to around 205°F or just off the boil.
- Start by adding water to the ground coffee. You want to use just enough water to cover the top of the grounds.
- Let your coffee bloom for 30-45 seconds and stir it five times.
- After your coffee has bloomed you want to add more water. Pour the water in the dripper.
- If you're using a scale, you should aim to add 400g of water or almost to the top.
- Let your brew sit for two minutes before placing on top of the cup.
- After two minutes place your dripper over your cup and let it drain. This should take about two minutes.
- Enjoy your Boondocks coffee
Drip Coffee Machine Brewing Guide
Directions
- First weigh out your coffee. A good starting place would be a ratio of 60 grams (2.1 ounces) of coffee for every liter (33.8 ounces) of water.
- Grind 60 grams or 8 tablespoons of coffee to the consistency of kosher salt.
- Measure out 1 liter (33.8 ounces) of water.
- Pour your water in the coffee maker and add the filter and coffee to the filter basket.
- Turn your coffee maker on and wait for it to finish brewing.
